The Backstory of Sauced
CRAIG STARTED SAUCED WOODFIRED PIZZA IN AUGUST OF 2012 AS A MOBILE WOODFIRED OVEN
With a passion to provide people with outstanding food and service and a LOVE of pizza, Craig knew we always wanted more for Sauced. To the pleasure of our customers, Craig opened a stand-alone location in Fairview Park in June 2016. Now, Sauced Wood Fired Pizza is available for more than just lunch or special events. Craig has spent many years in the pizza industry constantly learning and striving to make his Wood Fired pizzas stand out. In November of 2016, Craig set out on a week-long journey to San Francisco to study as much as he could about perfecting his special pizza dough recipe.
Craig attended the International School of Pizza and became the only pizza maker in Northern Ohio to be certified by Scuola Italiana Pizzaiolo.
The school stresses the importance of the dough and how climate can affect the taste and texture. Many competitors often overlook this main ingredient and use frozen dough. NOT at Sauced! We make the dough FRESH every day and our Wood Fired Pizza uses the finest flour.
